Fine Arts & Flowers | Children's Garden

Join the fun in a world where imagination blossoms with activities designed especially for young explorers. This delightful children’s event invites little ones to discover the magical combination of flowers and art through play, creativity, and movement.

Held in the Pauley Center patio tent in the heart of the museum’s sculpture garden, children will rotate through engaging, hands-on experiences that awaken all the senses. From colorful art-making activities to interactive storytelling sessions, each moment will be crafted to spark curiosity and joy. Gentle movement and music activities will keep little bodies active, while sensory stations offer opportunities to touch, feel, and explore the beauty of nature and design.

Continue the opportunity to create lasting memories by picking up a free scavenger hunt at the information desk in the Cochrane Atrium to guide your exploration of the floral interpretations throughout the museum galleries.

Fine Arts & Flowers | Evoking the Swinging '60s: Fashion Salon and Mod Cocktail Party- Couture VIP

Step into an unforgettable evening where couture meets the bold creativity and vibrant spirit of the Swinging Sixties as part of Fine Arts and Flowers. The VCUarts Fashion Design Department will present a dazzling collection of original designs created and modeled by the university’s rising stars of fashion. Drawing inspiration from the era that transformed style forever, these pieces celebrate the playful patterns, striking silhouettes, and fearless glamour that defined 1960s couture. 

The evening begins in a lively cocktail atmosphere filled with chic appetizers, creative libations, and the irresistible sounds of groovy sixties music. The space will glow with candlelight, creating an intimate and glamorous setting where fashion lovers, supporters of the arts, and friends can gather for a truly stylish night out. 

As the evening unfolds, the energy builds toward the highlight of the event: a spectacular runway show featuring bold couture looks and imaginative designs brought to life by VCU’s talented designers and models. Expect dramatic styling, vibrant colors, and moments of pure fashion excitement as the runway captures the spirit of an iconic decade.

This event is for Couture VIP reserved seating tickets only. Salon Seated and Standing Room tickets are also available.
