This class will survey the art and architecture of Iberia, with a focus on examples that demonstrate synthesis and interchange born from Muslim and Christian control of this region. These include art objects such as ceramics, tiles, and metalwork, major architectural works in Lisbon, Seville,Cordoba, and Granada as well as European and Islamic artworks from VMFA's permanent collection.
