Take a 50 minute Highlights Tour of VMFA's permanent collection. The tour is perfect for first-time visitors or anyone eager to learn more about VMFA's comprehensive collection of 50,000 works of art from around the world.

Walk-in Highlights Tours are subject to tour guide availability.

Starting on the hour, these 50-minute tours are led by VMFA tour guides. Take a closer look as you explore Fine Arts & Flowers highlights throughout the galleries.

Groups of 10 or more can reserve group guided tours. To request a group tour, please fill out the group tour request form.

Join one of VMFA’s volunteer Tour Guides on a 50-minute exploration of the special exhibition India’s Great Mughals: Art, Power, and Opulence. These tours are designed for individual visitors (and smaller groups of approximately no more than six people). Space is limited to 20 participants, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is met. No refunds are allowed. A maximum of six tickets per purchase is allowed.

Know Before You Go
Arrive at least five minutes before your tour's start time.
Have your Walk-in Tour ticket ready.
Meet at the exhibition entrance on the Lower Level near the ticket-taker station.
Tickets are required to join the tour.
